Prior to the current state of digital publishing on mobile platforms like the iPad, there was no clear solution for this exciting new medium. In the hopes of gaining funding from the Canadian Government and providing a made in Canada alternative to the incumbent U.S. company Zinio, Liquid Digital Management put forth a proposal to Magazine’s Canada. Above are a selection of mockup screens detailing aspects of a magazine app and distribution model, bringing to life conceptual development, look, feel and functionality. In conjunction with a small, talented team, all research and development including a functional prototype were developed in a matter of weeks.
